Rukmini Vasanth received a thunderous response from the Chennai audience at the pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, with the overwhelming cheers leaving the actor visibly surprised and emotional.
“I was not expecting that. But, thank you. We are so proud,” Rukmini said as the crowd continued to cheer for her. Reflecting on the warm welcome from Chennai, she added, “It’s been a long time since I came to Chennai. If you give me this kind of welcome, I will never leave it.”
Calling Toxic a deeply special film, Rukmini expressed her joy at being back in Chennai and thanked the audience for the immense love they have shown the film and its team. “This film is such a joy. So, please give this kind of welcome to our film,” she said.
Rukmini then took a moment to thank the team behind the film, beginning with Rocking Star Yash, whom she credited with inspiring her throughout the journey. “Sir, you have inspired me a lot. Thank you for this journey of a lifetime. I am always very grateful,” she said.
She also expressed her gratitude to producer Venkat K. Narayana for his unwavering support and for having the conviction to bring a film like Toxic to life. “To create a film like this, somebody had said earlier that we need guts and support. You have the guts to give me the support,” Rukmini said.
Concluding her address, Rukmini thanked the Chennai audience for the love and support extended to Toxic, describing the experience as incredibly humbling. “I am so proud to be a part of Toxic. That’s all I can say. Thank you all so much for your love,” she said.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is set to release worldwide on 26th August 2026.
