At a time when her career is at an exciting high, digital creator and entertainer Apoorva is stepping into a completely new chapter. Appearing on the Untriggered podcast, Apoorva, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, opened up about her decision to move to New York and pursue an MBA, revealing that her love for the city played a major role in her decision.
Speaking about why she chose New York, Apoorva said, “I’ve travelled quite a lot, and when I landed in New York, I was like, I really want to live here. There is something about this city. So I only applied to one college because I only wanted to live in New York.”
For Apoorva, the move also marks an important return to education at a point when she already has a successful career and the ability to build a business of her own. Explaining why she chose to pursue an MBA despite already being professionally established, she said, “I can start a business today if I want to, so why would I do that?”
She admitted that the decision comes with a sense of uncertainty, but also excitement about stepping into a serious academic environment. “Which is why I’m a little scared, but I’m also happy that I get to go MBA,” she said.
Apoorva will be pursuing an MBA without choosing a specialisation immediately, with that decision coming in her second year. “Just no specialization yet. Okay, so I’ll pick my specialization in the second year,” she shared.
While the move could have been an opportunity to slow down, Apoorva made it clear that studying is going to be the central focus of this next chapter. “I’m not going to chill. See, I thought I was going to chill, but MBA is a very like serious program and everyone’s old,” she said, reflecting on the intensity of the course and the new environment she is stepping into.
From building a career in content and entertainment to now returning to the classroom, Apoorva’s next chapter is as much about education as it is about reinvention. Her move to New York marks a deliberate decision to step away from the familiar, take on a demanding academic programme, and continue learning even at a time when her career is already at a high.
