“The Legend of Peacock” is a spiritual thriller directed by Atul Garg.
The film is about self-discovery, soul growth and enlightenment. When ego dies off we understand ourselves better, we make better decisions. By exploring who we are we start living more fulfilling lives full of light and love.
– Do you share some traits with the character you portray?
– My character, Rita is just like me. She is adventurous, brave, energetic. After reaching her self-realization she becomes whole as her individual self. The most important thing Rita and I have in common is that we both are madly in love with India.
-How difficult was for you to learn Hindi?
– Where there is a will there is a way. If you are determined, if you really want to do something you can achieve it. The process of learning wasn’t difficult at all. When we are thinking in our languages, we are thinking all the time in our heads. I started moving my inner dialogue to Hindi. I was just thinking in my head so nobody was going to be judging me for my mistakes. The main thing was that I started to retrain my brain. I changed my inner thoughts to Hindi and things got easier for me.
– Did you always want to become an actress or was it a decision that you made later in life?
– Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to become an actress, but my parents desperately wanted me to become a doctor. When my grandmother discovered my passion for acting, she told me: “Start to say No to the things you don’t want to do and follow your heart.”
-What are your career goals?
– In addition to my acting pursuits I have always harboured a love for writing, allowing me to express myself. When I started writing my first novel “The Young Woman with and Old soul” I realised how much charm it gave to my life. I felt relieved as I allowed my hidden thoughts to be flowed out. Now that I made my dream a reality, I would love to turn my novel into a movie and see my invented characters on the big screen.
