The Great Indian Bustard, lovingly known as the Godawan is now a Critically Endangered Bird on the IUCN Red List and the gown carrying intricate Godawan bird motifs in deep cobalt blue artwork seamlessly blended Indian heritage with contemporary couture, paying tribute to the extraordinary recovery of the Great Indian Bustard population — from 100 when the initiative began to protect the birds to 173 today through the efforts of Diageo India.
