Mumbai, India – 27 October 2026: The One Wish Willow has granted our wish! Following its phenomenal success at the global box office, Curry Barker’s Obsession is set to premiere on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar on 30 October. Having grossed over half a billion USD globally, including a phenomenal response in India, the global blockbuster is getting a desi twist for its OTT debut, with Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan lending their voices to Nikki and Bear, respectively, in the Hindi version. The film features standout performances by Inde Navarrette and Michael Johnston in the original theatrical version, which captivated audiences worldwide.
A horror blockbuster that delivered several iconic pop-culture moments and sent the internet into a frenzy, Obsession is now making its way to Indian audiences on the platform in its original, uncut versions in both English and Hindi. While the English version preserves the original performances, the Hindi adaptation brings a fresh Indian flavour to the film, with Kriti and Varun bringing their own distinctive interpretations to the central characters while retaining the essence of the original.

Kriti and Varun also opened up about the collaboration. “I absolutely loved the film and the performances in Obsession. It’s such a gripping, quirky & twisted story. I’ve never explored a character this edgy before, which made the experience even more exciting & challenging. This is also the first time I’ve lent my voice to another actor’s performance, and I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting film to make that debut with! I had a lot of fun voicing for it and I can’t wait for the audiences to experience the film in Hindi,” said Kriti Sanon.
Varun Dhawan admitted that this collaboration made him love the film more than he already enjoyed it. “Working on the Hindi version of Obsession gave me an opportunity to experience the story from a completely different perspective. In fact, I found myself enjoying the film even more because I could look at it so closely. I noticed so many little details that I may have missed on a first watch, and that made the whole experience even more interesting. I’m excited for audiences to experience Obsession in Hindi and discover those details for themselves.”
