Representing Ramayana at San Diego Comic-Con, Rocking Star Yash spoke about the vision and effort that went into bringing one of India’s most beloved epics to the big screen.

Reflecting on the filmmaking process, the actor said that everything began with the right intent, and despite the technical challenges, the team remained committed to telling the story as authentically as possible.

“I think intent is the most important thing. You have the right intent and right team. When we have started with the right intent, everything will fall in place. I think this story itself has got so much of aspects where we have started with the right intent and we started figuring out so many aspects of life while making this film. And technically, yes, it was demanding. Like makeups to looks, there were so many challenges. But I think eventually when you are trying to tell a story, that’s why we all are here. We love stories and we give it all to bring that story in the most authentic way. I think we have been able to do that in a quite good manner is what I believe.”

Up next, Yash will be seen in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which is set to release in theatres on August 26.

Ranbir Kapoor Praises Yash’s Ravana At Comic Con: “He Played It With So Much Swag and Aura”

Rocking Star Yash continues to emerge as one of the biggest talking points around Ramayana, with even co-star Ranbir Kapoor heaping praise on the actor’s powerful portrayal of Ravana during the film’s showcase at San Diego Comic-Con.

Speaking about collaborating with Yash, Ranbir revealed that the two actors haven’t had the opportunity to shoot together yet, as their major face-off comes later in the story.

“Ram and Ravan really meet him at the end of the film. Maybe a meeting in the middle, but we haven’t shot that yet, so we haven’t had the opportunity to work together. But I’ve known Yash for some time now. I’ve been a big fan of his work, and I truly believe that we needed somebody with his aura, with his stardom, with his outlook, to play this role.”

Ranbir went on to applaud Yash’s interpretation of one of Indian mythology’s most iconic characters, saying his performance has brought Ravana to life in a way audiences haven’t seen before. “He’s played it with so much of swag, with so much of aura, with so much of honesty, that he’s really made Ravan come alive.”

Ranbir’s praise further reinforces the excitement around Yash’s portrayal of Ravana, which has already emerged as one of the biggest highlights of Ramayana. With his commanding screen presence and powerful interpretation of the iconic antagonist, Yash has left audiences eagerly awaiting for his glimpse.

Up next, the Rocking Star will be seen in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, which he has also co-written and produced. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
