Kandivali: In a unique and awareness-driven initiative organized by Poinsur Gymkhana, hundreds of specially-abled children took part in a tree plantation drive within the gymkhana premises, sending a commendable message to all citizens about fulfilling their duty to protect the Earth from global warming.
Former Member of Parliament from North Mumbai, Gopal Shetty, marked his special presence at the event and personally joined the children in planting saplings. Expressing his deep emotional connection with these special children, public servant Gopal Shetty wholeheartedly appreciated their efforts.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Gopal Shetty said that Poinsur Gymkhana has always stood out not only in the field of sports but also for its consistent efforts toward social welfare. He added that through this event, where saplings were planted by the tiny hands of these ‘special’ children who are very dear to him, a powerful message has been conveyed to society: if we are to save our planet from environmental imbalance, every citizen must sincerely take responsibility for planting trees and contributing to a greener Earth.
He further stated that the specially-abled children have delivered an impactful and thoughtful message through this plantation drive, and both the children and their parents deserve heartfelt congratulations for this noble gesture.
Along with Gopal Shetty, the plantation drive was attended by Dr. Yogesh Dube, Madhuri Malakar, Kiran Pal, Jasmin Patel, as well as all office-bearers of Poinsur Gymkhana and other distinguished citizens.
