Rocking Star Yash returned to his home ground as Bengaluru hosted a grand trailer launch for Ramayana, bringing together the film’s cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey and Rakul Preet Singh, along with director Nitesh Tiwari. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was also present at the event, while Radhika stood by Yash in support. The event marked the beginning of the film’s promotional campaign in Karnataka, with Yash expressing pride in taking an Indian epic to audiences across the world.
Addressing the gathering, Yash spoke about the significance of starting the promotions in Bengaluru, acknowledging the city’s role in encouraging dreams and celebrating hard work. He emphasised that Ramayana was never approached as a regular film, but as an opportunity for the Indian film industry to come together and take its cultural heritage to a global audience.
Yash was equally forthcoming in his praise for his co-stars. Speaking about Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, he said, “You are the most honest, hardworking, simple, grounded human being I have ever met.” He praised Ranbir’s dedication and surrender to the role, adding, “I have seen you surrender. People will bless you.”

On Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita, Yash highlighted her devotion and grace, revealing how she frequently remembered Mother Sita while working on the film. Praising her, he said, “That grace is in her, the art is in her, she has a good heart.” He also urged audiences to give her their love and blessings. Speaking about Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshmana, Yash called him “such a wonderful actor” and added, “In this cinema, you will have a surprise package.”
Sharing a special connection with Rakul Preet Singh, Yash recalled her Kannada film debut with Gilli, noting that the film’s producer, Jayanna, was present at the event. Calling it a full-circle moment, he said, “For Kannadigas, the first cinema, she started from Kannada itself, Gilli.”
Yash also praised director Nitesh Tiwari for the dedication and understanding required to bring an epic like Ramayana to the screen. Referring to the filmmaker’s work on Dangal, he said, “We have all watched it, enjoyed it.” He further highlighted the research and commitment behind the film, adding that Tiwari had worked with an understanding of how to present him to audiences.
As a producer on the project, Yash reiterated his belief in its global vision, crediting partner Namit Malhotra for spearheading the international business. He also clarified the context behind the widely discussed ₹4,000-crore figure, explaining that it referred to the combined costs of the two-part film and its promotions.
A highlight of the event was Yash delivering a Raavan dialogue at fans’ request: “Heaven… Earth… Netherworld… Across all three realms, mine is the empire… Ravana’s kingdom!” Concluding his address, he urged audiences to support the film and its ambition to take Indian storytelling to the world.
Ramayana: Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on 5 November 2026.
