Aryabhata. Pythagoras. Urvashi Rautela. In a new reel shared with her 71.2M followers, Bollywood star Urvashi Rautela puts herself in iconic company, declaring:
“After Shri Aryabhata ji, I am the first Indian to contribute to maths.”
Urvashi Rautela, actor and internet favourite, is once again grabbing attention this time with a video this time with a reel that blends humor, high glam, and a touch of absurdity. Shared as a quirky, low-fi interview, the video sees Urvashi taking on the role of a self-made finance expert, making wildly exaggerated claims with a completely straight face.
Rather than following a traditional promotional format, the video leans into comedy and character. She introduces her own fictional money-making method the “Urvashi Investment Plan” and builds on it with confident, over-the-top assertions, including having her own bank and even being on Warren Buffet’s radar. It’s clearly intended to entertain, and it does just that.
Amid the humour, the script cleverly slips in a mention of KFC’s Epic Savers deal, which she jokingly refers to as her go-to financial strategy. With 9 pieces of chicken at a surprisingly low price, she frames it as the ultimate example of smart savings. Her assistant makes a timely appearance with food in hand, while her signature Labubu dolls are placed alongside, adding to the video’s absurd charm.
The reel plays on the popular mock-interview format that’s taken over social media but adds Urvashi’s signature flair dramatic pauses, confident delivery, and a complete embrace of the character she’s playing. It’s playful, self-aware, and designed for virality.
