Veteran film actress and National President of the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), Poonam Dhillon, officially launched the New Year 2026 calendar of the Journalists Media and Association Maharashtra State Committee. The event took place on Wednesday, January 8, 2026, at the CINTAA Tower office in Andheri West, Mumbai.

Warm Welcome
The event began with a warm welcome by Hansraj Kanojia, President of the Journalists Media and Association Maharashtra State Committee. He honored Poonam Dhillon and CINTAA Executive Committee Member Chandraprakash Thakur by presenting them with traditional shawls and bouquets.
Dignitaries Present
The launch was attended by several key office bearers and members, including General Secretary Arjun Kamble, Treasurer Sanjay Kamble, Vice President Anil Singh, Secretary Nilesh Hate, Joint Treasurer Sardar Uttam Singh, and Executive Committee members Ramakant Munde, Naeem Sheikh, Bholanath Sharma, Bhalchandra Nemane, and Dinesh Paresha, among others.

Key Highlights and Statements
While unveiling the calendar, Poonam Dhillon expressed her happiness, stating, “I am delighted to launch the Journalists Media and Association’s New Year calendar at the start of 2026. I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the entire committee.
During her interaction with the press, Dhillon emphasized the power of the media. She remarked that speaking to the media made her feel lighter, as it is a powerful medium that amplifies voices across Maharashtra and the country.
She stated that many actress in the Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) are facing difficulties such as delayed payments, long working hours, and other problems that require serious attention and immediate resolution. She expressed hope that the media would amplify their voices to help resolve these issues and provide the necessary support to these film actress.

CINTAA Executive Committee member Chandraprakash Thakur also extended his best wishes for the New Year. However, he raised a critical point regarding the welfare of artists. He stated that while many members of the association are battling
delayed payments, long working hours, and other problems that require serious attention and immediate resolution. But no concrete steps or regulatory provisions have been introduced yet to resolve this issue effectively.
