A joint meeting held between former MP Gopal Shetty, flat buyers, and builder representatives yields positive outcomes

“I will ensure the completion of this stalled project,” asserts Gopal Shetty

Goregaon (Mumbai):
Former Member of Parliament from North Mumbai, Gopal Shetty, has taken a meaningful initiative to resolve the concerns of flat buyers from the residential building project “RNA Exotica” and to help them finally acquire possession of their long-awaited flats. This project is located near Ram Mandir Station. In a joint meeting, around 150 flat buyers and senior officials of the builder company were present.

Nikhil Dakshani, one of the buyers, shared that the 320-unit project had begun in 2009–2010 but remains incomplete even today. Construction work has been almost entirely stalled since 2018. At the time of booking in 2010, buyers were promised possession by 2013. Most of them had already paid nearly 75% of the flat cost. However, the building was never completed, and the matter eventually landed in court.

About a month ago, the flat buyers approached public representative Gopal Shetty for assistance. Known for his swift action and tireless efforts in ensuring public welfare, Shetty immediately sprang into action upon receiving the complaint. He personally visited the project site and initiated a dialogue with the builder.

Senior officials from the builder’s side confirmed during the joint meeting that following Shetty’s intervention, the project’s promoter assured full cooperation. This assurance led to the convening of the joint meeting.

Gopal Shetty also stated that by the time Lord Ganesha graces the site during the upcoming Ganeshotsav, the stalled construction work is expected to resume. He assured buyers that they will soon receive possession of their flats. “I will ensure that the work on this stalled project is completed,” Shetty declared.
