The Saptah Krida Maidan at Mahavir Nagar, Borivali (West), developed by former MP Mr. Gopal Shetty, has been a central venue for various sports, cultural, and religious activities. Being centrally located, the maidan has been well-maintained over the years. However, in order to provide all modern amenities to the public, public servant Mr. Gopal Shetty has been making tireless efforts. Supporting this initiative, local MLA Mr. Sanjay Upadhyay has also stepped forward to significantly transform the maidan.

.Today marked the groundbreaking ceremony for several developments including the installation of high-mast central lighting, a well-equipped jogging track, and the repair of broken boundary walls along with protective fencing.
The occasion coincided with the grand Monsoon Rubber Ball Tournament organized by Jan Mitra Foundation, Yuvak Mandal, and Siddheshwar Mitra Mandal. A total of 16 teams from across Maharashtra participated in the tournament. The winning team was awarded ₹2,22,000 in cash and a grand trophy, while the runners-up received ₹1,11,000 in cash and a trophy, both presented by public servant Mr. Gopal Shetty and MLA Mr. Sanjay Upadhyay.

.The final match witnessed a crowd of nearly 10,000 spectators. The tournament was made successful thanks to the dedicated efforts of Ganesh Bare, Deepak Patnekar, Mahesh Raut, Rajesh Bhatt, Nitin Pradhan, Sunil Mohite, Arif Shaikh, Sharad Satam, Mayur Overseer, Kunal Kerkar, Nainesh Shah, and Mahendra Gurav.
