Nxtra by Airtel releases Sustainability Report for FY 2024-25

 Women workforce grows 130% under NxtWave initiative



Mumbai, August 25, 2025: Nxtra Data Limited (“Nxtra by Airtel”), a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel (Airtel), today, unveiled its Sustainability Report for FY 2024-25. The Report details the company’s progress in building digital infrastructure that is intelligent, scalable and sustainable.

The report highlights Nxtra’s commitment and progress across the three pillars of sustainability: Minimising environmental impact through cleaner energy and smarter operations, advancing social inclusion and safety and reinforcing governance with transparency and accountability at its core.

This year, we have set new benchmarks for the industry by becoming the first data centre and only the 14th company in the country to join the global RE100 initiative and commit to the use of 100% renewable energy for all our operations. We are also the first in the country to harness AI at scale to drive energy efficiency and drive better operational performance.”

*Key Achievements of FY 2024-25*

• Contracted a massive 482,800 MWh of renewable energy sourcing — 3X higher than the baseline year of 2021
• Reduced average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) by 10% as compared to FY 2021 as baseline
• Fostered workplace trust by achieving an employee engagement score of 85/100
• Strengthened local economies and fostered a resilient supply chain by ensuring 99% suppliers were India-based,
• Ensured sustainability across the value chain by conducting ESG assessments for 98% of strategic suppliers
• Ensured 6.15 million safe person-hours in construction
