With the continued love and support of theatre enthusiasts, several popular Marathi plays have been enjoying a successful run on stage, with many crossing significant milestones of 100–150 performances. Among them, ‘Chiranjeev Perfect Bighadlay!’, a light-hearted entertainer, has quickly won the hearts of audiences and has now proudly completed 100 successful shows.
Presented by Chandrakant Kulkarni, produced by ‘Jigisha’, and written and directed by Vinod Ratna, the play recently celebrated its 100th show on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya with great उत्साह. The special performance was graced by eminent personalities from the entertainment industry, including veteran actor Padma Shri Ashok Saraf, actress Nivedita Saraf, actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, actress Supriya Pilgaonkar, actor Aadesh Bandekar, and actress Suchitra Bandekar, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Saraf expressed that witnessing the grand celebration of the play’s 100th show was truly a moment of joy and pride. Sachin Pilgaonkar praised the play wholeheartedly, calling it a “perfect blend of performance, direction, and casting.” Aadesh Bandekar shared that receiving blessings from such legendary figures on an auspicious day like Akshaya Tritiya is a matter of great fortune for the young artists involved in the play.
One of the key highlights of ‘Chiranjeev Perfect Bighadlay!’ is its contemporary storyline that resonates strongly with today’s Gen-Z audience. The play presents the emotions, thoughts, and realities of the younger generation in a light, humorous manner, making it highly relatable and engaging for audiences.
The play is produced by Shripad Padmakar and Dileep Jadhav. Newcomers Shreyas Joshi, Vaibhav Randhwe, and Samruddhi Kulkarni have delivered impactful performances, making their mark on the professional stage.
