Kandivali: A grand Kawad Yatra was organized under the joint aegis of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal from Ganesh Nagar in Kandivali. A massive crowd of Lord Shiva devotees gathered to participate in and encourage the Kawadiyas (devotees), with the entire area echoing with spirited chants of “Bol Bam.”
The Kawad Yatra passed through Neelkanth Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Malad, and Malvani areas and reached the Kileshwar Mahadev Temple in Madh via Marve Road, where thousands of devotees offered sacred water on the Shiva Linga with deep devotion.

It is noteworthy that this Kawad Yatra, which began from the Mithila Hanuman Temple in Ganesh Nagar, was flagged off with the filling of sacred water in all the Kawads by former corporator of Ward No. 31, Kamlesh Yadav, with support from his associates Gopal Jha, Mukesh Chaudhary, and other local residents. They all remained dedicated in serving the Kawadiyas throughout the event.
Former corporator Kamlesh Yadav shared that this grand and traditional Kawad Yatra has been organized from this area for several years, with thousands of Shiva devotees participating every year. The procession travels from Ganesh Nagar, Lalji Pada, and 90 Feet Road to reach the Kileshwar Mahadev Temple in Madh.
Along the route of the yatra, many organizations gave a grand welcome to the devotees. They showered flowers on the Kawadiyas and served them refreshments, which further boosted the enthusiasm and energy of the participating Shiva devotees.
