Guardian Minister of the Suburbs Adv. Ashish Shelar and Former MP Gopal Shetty Were Present
A crucial meeting was held today at the R ‘Central’ ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Borivali, with concerned officials, regarding the preparation of boundary measurement maps under the jurisdiction of the Land Records Office in connection with development plan reservations in Mumbai Suburbs. Guardian Minister of the Suburbs Adv. Ashish Shelar and North Mumbai’s former Member of Parliament Gopal Shetty were specially present on this occasion.
During this meeting, detailed discussions were held with senior officials on the following key points, and several important decisions were taken:
1. The SIT inquiry is limited only to specific complaints and should not be misused to harass other citizens.
2. If any alterations are found in the maps during scanning, the concerned contractor and the officials who appointed that contractor should also be investigated.
3. Affected citizens should submit a petition to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Guardian Minister, on which the government will take a positive decision.

In addition, just as slums up to the year 2011 have been granted legal protection by the government, a meeting will be organized with the Chief Minister and the Revenue Minister to ensure protection for other affected citizens as well, and the government will take special positive action in this regard.
Along with Adv. Ashish Shelar and public representative Gopal Shetty, those present at the high-level meeting included Charcop MLA Yogesh Sagar, Dahisar MLA Manisha Tai Chaudhary, North Mumbai BJP District President Deepak alias Bala Tawde, as well as senior officials from the Urban Development, Revenue, Settlement Commissioner, Land Records, and BMC administration.
