Every year, Marathi films are selected and sent on behalf of the Maharashtra Film, Theatre, and Cultural Development Corporation for the “Film Bazaar” section of the Goa International Film Festival. This year, the Marathi film “Mukkam Post Devache Ghar” has been officially selected for “Film Bazaar – 2025”, as announced by the corporation’s Managing Director, Swati Mhase Patil.

Produced under the banner of Keemaya Productions by Mahesh Kumar Jaiswal and Kirti Jaiswal, “Mukkam Post Devache Ghar” is directed by Sanket Mane. The film presents a story rooted in rural life. After a mother tells her daughter that her father, who served in the army, has gone to be with God, the little girl begins her quest to understand what “God” means and where He resides. The trailer also depicts the mother’s struggle to claim her late husband’s pension. With its emotional depth, the narrative is portrayed in a light-hearted and engaging manner.
For the past ten years, the Maharashtra Film, Theatre, and Cultural Development Corporation has been actively participating in the Cannes International Film Festival Film Bazaar and the Goa International Film Festival Film Bazaar with the objective of providing a global platform for Marathi cinema and helping it reach international markets.
