Pooja Sawant to play a fierce police officer in her upcoming film.
It is quite rare to see a leading Marathi actress in a police uniform, but Pooja Sawant is breaking the mold. In her upcoming film ‘Salbardi,’ she portrays P.I. Manorama Pradhan—a fearless, disciplined, and sharp police officer. The film’s high-octane teaser and character posters were recently launched, sparking a lot of excitement among the audience.
Pooja made a “dashing” entry at the launch event, giving fans a glimpse of her character. To prepare for the role, she put in significant effort to master the body language, authoritative dialogue delivery, and disciplined behavior of a real cop. To keep the performance authentic, she spent time observing and interacting with actual police officers.

Sharing her experience, Pooja said:
“The moment you put on the uniform, you naturally feel a sense of pride and authority—you don’t even have to act it out. There is an inherent power in the uniform. I believe this role will be an inspiration to every woman.”
The film promises to be an action-packed thriller with intense stunts. ‘Salbardi’ is set to hit theaters on April 17.
