Pooja Hegde and Suriya starrer Retro was recently released on the OTT giant, Netflix. After it witnessed a successful theatrical run, the film is creating waves in the digital space. Within a short span of time, the film has earned the 1st spot in the trending list, proving that the audience has loved and appreciated the engaging story.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is a gangster romantic drama that showcases Pooja Hegde in an unseen avatar. The actress plays the role of Rukmani, Suriya’s on-screen love interest, and extends impressive support as the female lead. While Suriya keeps the plot moving with gore action sequences and intensity, Pooja brings a sense of softness with her emotional range, striking a perfect balance. Touted to be a lighthearted rom-com, Pooja will be seen sharing the screen space with Varun Dhawan for the first time. Directed by David Dhawan, the film is yet to have a release date.
