Symphony of Hope: NGO Vishwas Hosts an Evening of Music, Recognition, and Compassion in Mumbai

Mumbai witnessed an unforgettable evening where melody met purpose, as NGO Vishwas presented Symphony of Hope a musical and felicitation night dedicated to compassion, resilience, and excellence in healthcare and social service. The event seamlessly blended soulful performances with heartfelt recognition, leaving the audience inspired and moved.

Founded by philanthropist Suresh Agarwal, NGO Vishwas has long been committed to supporting cancer patients and their families by providing shelter and facilitating free treatment for those who travel from across India to Mumbai in search of care. The evening stood as a powerful reflection of this mission, honouring doctors, caregivers, social contributors, and artists who continue to champion cancer awareness and patient support.

The event was graced by MLA Shri Atul Bhatkhalkar, who applauded the relentless efforts of medical professionals and social organisations in strengthening community healthcare. Notably, he has personally extended support by providing space for the Vishwas Cancer Care Unit in Kandivali, underscoring his commitment to accessible and inclusive healthcare.

A special highlight of the evening was the presence of celebrity guest Mahima Choudhary, who commended the impactful work of NGO Vishwas and acknowledged the dedication of oncologists and healthcare professionals who serve as enduring pillars of hope for countless families.

A significant segment of the programme honoured eminent medical professionals from P.D. Hinduja Hospital and Tata Memorial Centre for their outstanding contributions to oncology and patient care. Among those felicitated were Dr. Sachin Almel, Medical Oncologist; Dr. Aneel K. Murarka, Founder of Ample Mission, reinforcing the spirit of philanthropy and social leadership across humanity; Dr. Murad Lala, Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Ranjeet Bajpai and Dr. Vivek Anand, Radiation Oncologists; Dr. Kumar Prabhash, Professor & Head, Solid Tumour Unit; Dr. Shripad Banavali, Former Director of Academics; Dr. Suyash Kulkarni, Professor & Head, Department of Radiodiagnosis; Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan, Vice Chairman – HPB & GI Surgery and Lead – Growth & Strategy, Oncology; Dr. Raman Deshpande, Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Manish Agarwal, Vice Chairman, Orthopaedic Oncosurgery & Lead – Innovations; Dr. Amar Deshpande, Consultant Surgical Oncologist & Chief of Breast Surgery; Dr. Shrikant Badwe, Urologist; Dr. Renubala Rout, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist; and Dr. Asha Kapadia, Section Head of Oncology. The evening also acknowledged the humanitarian contributions of Dr. Nilima Paranjpe, Veterinarian and Rescuer of Stray Animals; Mr. Arun Kejriwal, Advocate & Philanthropist; and Mr. Krishna Mahadik, Social Activist & Philanthropist.

Actors Urvashi Upadhyay and Karan Mehra were also felicitated for their professional journeys and their association with meaningful social causes, adding a strong cultural presence to the evening.

A defining moment of the night was when Team Vishwas presented a cheque of INR 25 lakhs to Hinduja Hospital, reinforcing the NGO’s commitment to extending care beyond treatment. Through this contribution, NGO Vishwas aims to provide free cancer treatment to over 50 patients in the coming year, further strengthening its mission of hope and healing.

Adding a soulful dimension, the musical programme celebrated the golden era of Hindi cinema with timeless melodies of Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi, performed by acclaimed singers Kishore Sodha, Sarvesh Mishra, Govind Mishra, Prajakta Satardekar, and Rajesh Iyer. The performances created an atmosphere of nostalgia, joy, and collective celebration.

The event was conceptualised and organised by Bubble Communication, which curated the evening with sensitivity and precision, ensuring a seamless experience for the nearly 3,000 attendees who gathered to celebrate Symphony of Hope with NGO Vishwas.

The night concluded with a grand finale that brought artists, dignitaries, and members of NGO Vishwas together on one stage symbolising unity, gratitude, and a shared commitment to compassion.
