At present, the Marathi blockbuster film Dashavatar is creating waves not only in Maharashtra but also in Delhi, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and other states. On this occasion, the Hon. Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, extended a special invitation to the artists of the film. Present alongside the entire team of the film were Goa BJP State President Damu Naik, Zee Studios’ Business Head Bhavesh Janvalekar, and several other dignitaries.

While extending his best wishes to the film’s team, the Chief Minister said:
“Dashavatar, a traditional art form widely performed in Sindhudurg and Karwar, is equally popular in Goa. I am delighted that through this film, Dashavatar as an art form is reaching the global stage.”

On this occasion, he felicitated veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar and wished that the film reaches as many people as possible. A special screening of the film Dashavatar was also organized, which was enjoyed by the Chief Minister and the distinguished guests.

Director Subodh Khanolkar said:
“To be invited by the Chief Minister of a state and to be welcomed here is a great honor for our film. We shot in the Kudal and Goa border areas.”

The folk art of Dashavatar, as popular in Maharashtra’s Konkan region, holds a special place in Goa as well. The cultural tradition of Goa continues to cherish this art form through vibrant performances. It is for this reason that the film Dashavatar has been embraced in Goa with the same love as in Maharashtra.

Presented by Zee Studios and produced by Ocean Film Company and Ocean Art House, Dashavatar is directed by the talented new-age filmmaker Subodh Khanolkar, who has set a new benchmark for grandeur in cinema.

The cultural heritage and traditional practices of Konkan bear strong similarities with those of Goa, and hence the film Dashavatar has also won the hearts of Goan audiences.

Veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar plays a crucial role in the film, once again mesmerizing audiences with his stellar performance. Alongside him, the film features powerhouse actors such as Mahesh Manjrekar, Bharat Jadhav, Vijay Kenkre, Siddharth Menon, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Abhinay Berde, Sunil Tawde, Ravi Kale, Lokesh Mittal, Aarti Wadagbalkar, and many others in significant roles.

Born from the red soil of Konkan, Sindhudurg, and Goa, Dashavatar is now reigning not only across India but also globally. The film is receiving a thunderous response at the box office, drawing audiences of all ages—from children to elders—and has found immense popularity not just among Marathi audiences but also non-Marathi viewers.

Although made in Marathi, the subject of Dashavatar is universal. It transcends language and region, communicating through the language of cinema itself. And that is why it has broken barriers of language and geography to touch the hearts of audiences everywhere.
