A heartbreaking incident occurred during the rehearsals for the Grand Dahikala Festival Govindotsav 2025 organized at Ketkipada, Dahisar (East), Ward No. 3 of the Magathane Assembly constituency.

The event, hosted by Yuva Sena Executive Member Shri Raj Prakashdada Surve and Taramati Charitable Foundation, turned tragic when 11-year-old Master Mahesh Ramesh Jadhav (fondly called ‘Bal Gopal’) lost his life during practice.

This unfortunate accident sent shockwaves across the local community, leaving Mahesh’s family devastated.

To support the grieving family in this difficult time and secure their future, MLA Shri Prakashdada Surve extended financial assistance of ₹5,00,000.
The cheque was formally handed over to the family by the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Hon. Shri Eknath Shinde.
