Badshah’s quirky rap songs have made him rise to the top amongst the millennials and GenZ crowd for all the right reasons. He’s back with a banger this time again, his latest single titled ‘Morni’ where he reunites with pop singer Sharvi Yadav and Producer Hiten. And what’s better is it’s right in time to become your top favourite in your New Year Party Song list! It has the perfect combination of fun beats and joyful tunes that make it perfect for your upcoming celebrations.
The mystery lady starring in the music video was unveiled at the song launch today and it’s none other than the stunning Preity Mukhundhan, an actress and model who has predominantly worked in Tamil and Telugu films. Badhshah has given us many iconic hits but even now, he shares how he feels scared before every release.
‘Morni’ is interlaced with the tunes of the popular track ‘ Morni Baga Ma Bole’ from ‘Lamhe’ whose vocals were given by the late Lata Mangeshkar and starring the iconic superstar – the late Sridevi. Furthermore Badshah also shared why he picked this song, ” Lamhe is one of my most favourite films ever. Also, my ancestors do come from Rajasthan, hence the love for folk songs. This song is in everyone’s hearts because of how special the film is. The people of Rajasthan are also very warm which is why they’re in the video, it was a lovely experience.”
The modern-day version is filled with desi swag and a catchy folk musical touch that’s bound to be trending in no time! Pop singer Sharvari is thrilled to be reuniting with Badshah on such a special project, she exclaims, ” I hope it becomes the go-to party anthem for everyone with its upbeat tempo. I had so much fun reworking on such memorable songs like ‘Morni Baga Ma Bole’ which is already so iconic because of legends like the late Lata Mangeshkar and Sridevi.”
The producer Hiten had wonderful things to say about the musical talents and the mystery lady Preity Mukhundhan. He shared, “As a producer, all we look for and aim for is to bring the maximum entertainment we can. With talents like Badshah and Sharvi, it goes without saying that they’ll deliver something amazing. It was lovely to have the stunning Preity onboard too, the song really draws you in as does her screen presence”
The song was launched with much fanfare. As always the stunning visual aesthetics with Preity Mukhundhan scorching up the screen. The lovely actress-model expressed her delight by saying, “I was quite intimidated when I heard how the standards were really high in the Hindi film industry. But the warmth shared by Badshah on set was really welcoming. The whole experience was very encouraging. It’s a huge deal for me to work with such iconic artists that too in such a powerful song.”
The much-anticipated song had its massive theatrical launch, the first of its kind ever and it was all about fun and frolic. While the talents spoke from their hearts on what makes this song special, the audience couldn’t stop grooving to the song. There’s also a popular hookstep in the song that is soon going to go viral on social media as more and more people begin to dance to it. Badshah known for his quirky songs and viral hooksteps ensured that it was a launch that left a lasting impression. The media was gung-ho about his upcoming song expressing deep admiration on how the rap star never disappoints. Badshah along with Preity and singer Sharvi danced along with fans on stage as the new song entertained everyone.
