Former MP Gopal Shetty Raises the Issue of “OC” Before Citizens: Honored by the Study Committee

Pranav Birje | The News Bulletins

To highlight the difficulties faced by thousands of buildings in Mumbai city without Occupancy Certificates (OC) and to decide the way forward regarding tenanted buildings, former MP Gopal Shetty addressed citizens in an interaction session. During this discussion, he provided detailed insights into the challenges in obtaining OCs, the growing resentment and fear among residents of OC-less buildings, and the possibilities of creating simpler processes to obtain OCs.

It is worth mentioning that under the leadership and guidance of public servant Gopal Shetty, BJP Mumbai President Amit Satam recently formed a committee to find feasible solutions at the government level for OC-related issues. Members of the BJP’s “OC Study Committee,” Advocate Amit Mehta, Architect Arvind Nandapurkar, and Architect Tarunbhai Mota, were also present during Gopal Shetty’s session.

In this program, members of the OC Study Committee honored public servant Gopal Shetty by presenting him with a statue of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Earlier, in recognition of his struggle on the OC issue, he had been honored with a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Now once again, for his promptness and dynamism in carrying forward the OC efforts, Shetty was felicitated.
