The Lead Bank Office of North Goa District, in coordination with all major banks operating in Goa, organised a special camp at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Panaji, under the nationwidecampaign ‘Your Money, Your Right’ for the settlement of unclaimed assets in financial institutions on  November 12, 2025.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Pundalik Khorjuvenkar, Additional District Collector, North Goa. In his address, Shri. Khorjuvenkar appreciated the efforts of the banks in creating awareness about unclaimed deposits and urged citizens to take full advantage of this ongoing campaign.

Shri. Prabhakar Jha, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), explained the claim settlement process to the attendees and highlighted the ease of accessing the online claim process through the UDGAM portal of the RBI. He encouraged depositors to utilise this opportunity to reclaim their long-pending unclaimed deposits.

Shri.Kundan Nath, Regional Manager, SBI North Goa, Shri. Carlos Rodrigues, AGM SBI and Convenor  SLBC Goa,  Smt. Sangeeta Parab, Regional Head, LIC of India, Shri. Kunal Kumar Singh, Regional Head, Indian Overseas Bank Shri. Ravindra, AGM, Bank of Baroda and other senior officials from RBI, various banks, and LIC of India were present at the event.

During the campaign period, citizens are requested to visit their respective bank branches with their valid KYC documents such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, and recent photograph etc. to reactivate their accounts. This process will facilitate the efficient and faster settlement of unclaimed deposits and ensure that the funds are returned to their rightful owners. The accounts which are not operated for a period of 10 years are classified as unclaimed deposits.

The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has launched this three-month nationwide campaign from October to December 2025 under the theme ‘Your Money, Your Right’ to streamline the process of reclaiming unclaimed assets in financial institutes across the country. The State Bank of India (SBI), as the Convener of the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), is closely monitoring the campaign in coordination with the Lead District Managers (LDMs) of both North and South Goa districts.
