Kandivali: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a certificate distribution ceremony for women who completed henna (mehndi) training and a felicitation ceremony for newly elected women corporators was organized. The event was held under the joint aegis of the Mahila Vikas Trust, Bharat Vikas Parishad (Malad Branch), and Shivkalyan Kendra (Service Department).

During the event, the Mayor of Mumbai, Mrs. Ritu Tawde, specially honored Manisha Kamlesh Yadav, the newly elected corporator from Ward No. 31, Kandivali, along with other female corporators. The newly elected representatives were felicitated with shawls and books.
Event Details
The program took place at the Kamla Vihar Sports Club, Mahavir Nagar, Kandivali (West), with Mumbai Mayor Mrs. Ritu Tawde attended as the chief guest.

Empowering Women through Skill Development
The Mayor highly praised the mehndi training project initiated for women’s empowerment. During their speeches, the dignitaries noted that many women have taken a significant step toward self-reliance by participating in this training.
The event was organized under the guidance of Kranti Girkar-Kunder, President of the Mahila Vikas Trust. Team members including Minu Gupta, Rekha Goyal, Jeet Mishra, and other volunteers worked diligently to ensure the program’s success. A large number of women and local citizens attended the event, applauding the initiative.
