Early Roots in Art & Culture
Her artistic journey began in childhood under the mentorship of her uncle, Naba Kalita, a distinguished alumnus of the National School of Drama (NSD). Through Assamese dramas and traditional theatre, Bhoomika developed a strong foundation in performance. Guided by her mother, Mira Kalita, she also became an international Bihu dancer, representing Assam’s vibrant heritage on prestigious global stages with unmatched grace and cultural pride.

Behind-the-Scenes Brilliance
Bhoomika’s creative pursuits go beyond performance. She was part of the creative team for Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Haddi and has worked for over seven years with Mehmood Ali, founder of Pen N Camera International and Don Cinema. Her portfolio includes contributions to international projects such as Majid Majidi’s Muhammad: The Messenger of God (Mohammed Rasulullah), Kolkata Junction featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Kay Kay Menon, and Jimmy Sheirgill, as well as various web series.

Exciting Upcoming Projects
The year ahead marks a turning point in Bhoomika’s career:
1. Kasa Kay Mumbai – A festive song set for release during Ganesh Chaturthi in August 2025 alongside Bharat Madaan.
2. Amar Jyoti – A unique Assamese-Hindi film slated to begin shooting in October 2025, starring Bhoomika with Ravi Kishan and Adil Hussain. Produced by Mehmood Ali under Pen N Camera International, the project aims to bridge regional traditions with mainstream cinema.
3. Web Series Ventures – She will be seen in a series directed by Naresh Malhotra (Yeh Dillagi, Dil Ka Rishta) alongside Shawn Arhanna of Tera Kasoor fame. She also has projects lined up with Abhishek Dudhaiya (Bhuj) and writer Moin Beg (Heera Mandi).
