A grand felicitation ceremony was organized at Poisar Gymkhana in Kandivali to honor Radha Yadav, the pride of India, who played a key role in the Indian women’s cricket team’s victory at the World Cup.
During the event, former North Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty felicitated Radha Yadav by presenting her with a shawl, coconut, and memento.
On this occasion, Borivali MLA Sanjay Upadhyay, Poisar Gymkhana Vice President Karunakar Shetty, other office bearers of the gymkhana, and a large number of local citizens were present.

While speaking to the media, public representative Gopal Shetty said that Radha Yadav, a former student of Our Lady School in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivali (West), is the talented daughter of Omprakash Yadav, a fruit and vegetable vendor. Through her hard work and exceptional talent, she has brought immense pride to India on the world stage.
Living in a small 225-square-foot house, Radha began her journey by playing street cricket and rose to become a member of the World Cup–winning Indian team — a truly magical journey that stands as a milestone of inspiration for today’s youth.
Radha has made not only North Mumbai but the entire nation proud. It was for this reason that this special felicitation ceremony was organized at Poisar Gymkhana to honor her achievements.
“I extend my heartfelt best wishes to Radha Yadav for her bright future and continued success,” said Gopal Shetty.
