With a consistent commitment to providing basic amenities to all citizens, former Member of Parliament Gopal Shetty has successfully inaugurated four Senior Citizen Service Centers near Omkareshwar Temple in Charkop Sector 3, Kandivali. For the past 35 years, the senior citizens of Charkop had been demanding a dedicated service center for their needs. Responding to their long-standing request, public servant Gopal Shetty provided a spacious hall for senior citizens. In addition, service centers were also provided to Charkop Rohidas Panchayat, Kamal Seva Pratishthan, and Janmitra Cultural Mandal.

A special ceremony was held for the inauguration, attended by MLA of Borivali, Sanjay Upadhyay, along with Gopal Shetty.
On this occasion, Sharad Satam—who played a key role in organizing the event—was honored by Gopal Shetty, MLA Sanjay Upadhyay, and the Senior Citizens’ Friends Association.
Other dignitaries present on stage included BJP District Vice President Mahesh Raut, Co-operative Front President Sumesh Ambre, former Corporator Sandhya Doshi, Mandal President Surekha Thoke, and Ward President Shreya Prabhu.
