Topics related to media world will be discussed in the convention.
Mumbai : In the two-day convention of National Union of Journalists (India) organized in Bhopal on 28 and 29 September 2024, discussions will be held on journalist protection law, formation of media commission and media council and related to media world. On 29 September, a seminar will be organized at Lake View Hotel Residency on the topic of changing media scenario and challenges. Madhya Pradesh Urban Administration and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the chief guest in the seminar. Minister of State for Rural Development Smt. Radha Singh, Legal Advisor of NUJ, Supreme Court lawyer and writer Shri Ashwani Dubey, Chairman of Gramya Absolute Dr. Pankaj Shukla, Media Incharge of Madhya Pradesh BK Reena will be the special guests in the seminar. The seminar will be presided over by NUJI President Shri Ras Bihari. Pradeep Tiwari, general secretary of the National Union of Journalists (India), affiliated to the International Federation of Journalists, said that on this occasion, Supreme Court advocate Ashwani Dubey’s new book Article 32 will be released. He said that members of NUJI from 24 states will participate in the convention. NUJI general secretary Pradeep Tiwari said that a framework will be made in the convention to launch a movement to implement the Journalist Protection Act in the country. Due to social media, questions are also being raised about the credibility of the media. He said that a National Register for Journalists is needed to maintain the identity of journalists in the country. All topics related to the media world will be discussed in the convention.
