Filmmaker, producer and thought leader Ramira Taneja recently visited Rishikesh, where she had the opportunity to meet Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji at Parmarth Niketan, one of the city’s renowned spiritual centres situated on the banks of the Ganga.
The meeting became a meaningful moment in Ramira’s continuing exploration of consciousness, experiential wisdom, spirituality and human understanding.
Known for her work across cinema, entertainment and creative entrepreneurship, Ramira has increasingly been expanding her conversations beyond filmmaking. Her emerging thought-leadership work brings together storytelling, intuition, human behaviour, spirituality and business, drawing upon her years of experience across the entertainment industry.
For Ramira, Rishikesh represents more than a travel destination. The Ganga, the mountains and the atmosphere of contemplation create a space for reflection and introspection. Being at Parmarth Niketan added another dimension to that experience.
“Rishikesh has a very different energy. You come here physically as a traveller, but something within you naturally slows down. Meeting Swamiji at Parmarth Niketan was one of those moments where you are reminded that wisdom is not always found in information—it is also found in presence, silence and experience,” Ramira shared.
Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan, is known for his spiritual teachings and work connected with humanitarian service and environmental consciousness. Parmarth Niketan is also known for its yoga, meditation, spiritual gatherings and the daily Ganga Aarti.
The meeting holds particular significance in the context of Ramira’s evolving journey as a thought leader. After years of working across filmmaking, production, media and entertainment entrepreneurship, she is now developing a broader platform around experiential wisdom, storytelling, consciousness and intuitive decision-making.
