Kandivali: The State-Level Suvarna Kalash One-Act Play Competition 2025, organized by the All India Marathi Natya Parishad – Borivali Branch and Poisar Gymkhana, was inaugurated in the presence of chief guest and former Member of Parliament, Gopal Shetty.
The inauguration was carried out by Damodar alias Bala Tembulkar, the chief executive of the Natya Parishad. A total of 26 groups are participating in this competition.

In his address during the inaugural function, public servant Gopal Shetty praised the efforts of organizing the one-act play competition and extended his best wishes to all participating groups and artists. On this occasion, he also announced that, through his efforts, a new theatre will soon be established in Saibaba Nagar, Borivali—great news for local theatre enthusiasts.
The inauguration ceremony at Poisar Gymkhana, Kandivali, was attended by Poisar Gymkhana Vice President Karunakar Shetty, President of the Borivali branch of Natya Parishad Prabhakar alias Gotya Sawant, Vice Presidents Mohan Parab and Vishwanath Mane, competition judge Supriya Vinod Matkari, actor Anil Gavas, competition heads Prashant Joshi, Sandeep Kabre, Hemant Bidwe, Praful Karekar, Rajan Pisat, Chandrakant More, Sameer Tendulkar, and Suresh Dalvi, along with office-bearers, committee members, and volunteers of the Borivali branch of Natya Parishad.
