Mega Job Fairs to Be Held at 100 Locations Across North Mumbai

Two Mega Job Fairs were organized in Uttar Mumbai as part of the initiative of Piyush Goyal, Uttar Mumbai MP & Union Minister, under the banner Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill Kaushal Vikas Kendra (ABVKVK) Kandivali East, a brainchild of Piyush Goyal. Job fairs received an overwhelming response with selection/ shortlisting of over 400 youth from the youth of the constituency. Some candidates even got offer letters on the spot.

Participation of as many as 20 reputed companies from the corporate world, marked a significant step towards employment generation in North Mumbai. These include Vodafone, Adani, Motorola, Amazon, L’Oréal India, and D-Mart, etc.


Speaking about the initiative, Piyush Goyal said:

“Inspired by the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, sustained efforts in Uttar Mumbai are leading to creating right opportunities and proper guidance to the youth. Through the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill Kaushal Vikas Kendra (ABVKVK) Kandivali East, we are committed to providing employment opportunities to every young individual in North Mumbai, with Skill development and employment generation. These steps at grass-root level are dedicated towards the Prime Minister’s goal of Viksit Bharat @2047.

He further added that such initiatives help connect youth directly with industries and create a strong platform for employment.


The Job Fair on April 11 was held at Mahila Kalyan Kendra, Kandivali (West), and on April 12 at Utpal Shanghvi Global School, Borivali (West). A large number of young candidates participated enthusiastically, with strong participation from both male and female candidates.Mega Job Fairs will be conducted at 100 locations across North Mumbai, further expanding access to employment opportunities for the youth.

The job fairs offered opportunities across sectors such as Information Technology and IT-enabled Services (IT-ITeS), Retail, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), Banking & Finance, Commerce & Administration, as well as Tech and Non-Tech domains.


Opportunities were created for candidates with diverse educational qualifications, including below 10th grade, 10th pass, 12th pass, ITI, Diploma holders, graduates, and postgraduates.

It may be noted that overall more than 50000 jobs created under Piyush Goyal’s vision of providing employment to all Youth in Uttar Mumbai. This has been possible through the skilling and employment platform, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill Kaushal Vikas Kendra (ABVKVK), Kandivali East, created by him in Uttar Mumbai within a short period of its operation. Two more such Kendras are in pipeline as part of setting up one each in all the six Assembly Constituencies within Uttar Mumbai Lok Sabha Constituency area. These Kendra will be one of the key elements of transforming Uttar Mumbai into Uttam Mumbai.
