Kandivali: In collaboration with Victory Sports-Bharat, two new badminton courts were inaugurated at Poisar Gymkhana by international badminton player Akshan K. Shetty. Former North Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty and national player Swastik Shetty were present as special guests for the occasion.
During his address, public servant Gopal Shetty expressed his delight, stating, “I am extremely pleased with the inauguration of these two new badminton courts. This initiative reflects our collective commitment to providing better opportunities for our youth and strengthening sports at the grassroots level. Sports are not just a means of entertainment; they build discipline, confidence, leadership skills, and strong character in young people. Through these modern badminton courts, we are not just building a facility, but laying a solid foundation for future champions.”
On this occasion, Gopal Shetty also honored international player Akshan K. Shetty, national player Swastik Shetty, and several other athletes.
The event was attended by Poisar Gymkhana President Mukesh Bhandari, Vice President Karunakar Shetty, Harshad Mehta, Karunashankar Ojha, Dilip Pandit, Dr. Yogesh Dubey, Avinash Gujar, as well as members of the Poisar Gymkhana Management Committee, sports committee officials, and local sports enthusiasts.
