Piyush Goyal highlights transformative redevelopment of ‘One Borivali’ as a model for modern, inclusive urban living, housing 101 families along with a state-of-the-art super speciality hospital

Mumbai, April 23:Uttar Mumbai MP and Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal today described Sai Krupa CHS Ltd’s redeveloped project ‘One Borivali’ as a landmark in Mumbai’s journey towards becoming a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive city. He stressed that with projects like this, a “New Mumbai” is taking shape as part of the vision of transforming Uttar Mumbai into Uttam Mumbai.

MP Piyush Goyal was speaking at an event marking the handing over of keys to residents on completion of the tallest redevelopment building in Borivali with modern amenities, held at around 6:30 PM. The event witnessed participation of approximately 200 people, including over 100 families who are beneficiaries of the redevelopment.Sharing a personal anecdote, Goyal recalled how the occasion coincided with the spirit of Akshay Tritiya, a day considered highly auspicious for new beginnings. He said, “Exactly 16 years ago, on this very day, I had purchased my own home. At that time, I was abroad, but my wife insisted that we return to India to complete the agreement on Akshay Tritiya. We rushed back from London to fulfil that dream. I was not a Minister or MP then, but like every citizen, I understood the value and emotion attached to owning a home.”

He added that this personal experience helps him deeply connect with the joy and pride that families feel when they receive the keys to their own homes.

The project, developed by OSHO Developers, is the tallest redevelopment tower in Borivali and comprises 101 residential units designed as an affordable urban housing solution equipped with essential modern amenities. Notably, the project also integrates a state-of-the-art super speciality hospital, along with facilities such as a modern gymnasium and an infinity pool, ensuring holistic well-being for residents within the society premises.

The families residing in the society largely comprise retired teachers of MCGM schools and their next generations, making the project a tribute to individuals who have contributed immensely to shaping society.

Acknowledging the role of teachers in nation-building, Goyal said, “A guru is like a lamp that burns itself to light the path for others. Your contribution to society makes us all proud.” He noted that while the importance of teachers is often realised later in life, their role in shaping responsible citizens is invaluable and enduring.

He further remarked that the event was not just about entering new homes, but also about celebrating the lifelong contribution of teachers. He emphasised that such initiatives are a meaningful way of giving back to those who have shaped generations.

Appreciating the thoughtful execution of the key handing-over ceremony, Goyal said that the manner in which keys were presented with dignity and symbolic elements such as well-packaged kits including documents and devotional idols reflected respect for homeowners. He noted that such practices should become a benchmark across redevelopment projects.

Describing the project as a symbol of a “सुरक्षित, मजबूत और आधुनिक Mumbai,” Goyal stated that redevelopment initiatives like ‘One Borivali’ are transforming the city’s urban landscape. He emphasised that a home is not merely a structure but represents a family’s lifetime of savings, identity, and aspirations for future generations.

Highlighting the need for inclusive development, Goyal reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every poor citizen, including those living in slums or dilapidated chawls, receives access to safe and dignified housing. He also cautioned against unethical practices by certain developers and assured that efforts are ongoing to safeguard the interests of homebuyers.

The Minister credited the government’s pro-development policies for accelerating infrastructure growth across the country. He highlighted that projects which once took decades are now being completed in record time, backed by transparency and policy reforms that have removed longstanding bottlenecks.

Reiterating the Government’s commitment to ‘Housing for All,’ Goyal referred to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), which aims to provide every citizen without a house with a pucca home with over 4 crore homes handed over in rural India so far.

Goyal extended his compliments to OSHO Developers and the managing committee of Sai Krupa CHS for successfully delivering the project. He expressed confidence that the new homes would bring health, harmony, and prosperity to all residents.

Concluding his address, Goyal urged the teachers to guide those living in slums as how to replicate your success in achieving this project, which will be great service to those people. This Piyus Goyal said will help transform Uttar Mumbai residential landscape as a role model for rest of the country, as he has taken initiative to provide Pucca homes to all the poor people especially those living in slums. Local MP further said that with such redevelopment projects we are on our way to realise his vision of transforming Uttar Mumbai into “Uttam Mumbai,” reflecting higher standards of living, infrastructure, and urban excellence.
