India, 26th May 2026: Some homes leave an impression not through grand gestures, but through the feeling they create- warm conversations around the dining table, quiet corners filled with books and memories, and spaces that effortlessly adapt to everyday life. Bringing this idea of home to life, IKEA India has collaborated with Miheeka Daggubati to create a dedicated room setting at IKEA Hyderabad, inspired by the way contemporary Indian families live today.
Curated by Miheeka, the living and dining space brings together Scandinavian craftsmanship and Indian sensibility through a thoughtful selection of IKEA products, anchored by the iconic STOCKHOLM collection.
Speaking about inspiration, Miheeka Daggubati shares, _“This room was designed as a reflection of how we live today- homes that feel warm, intentional, and easy to grow with over time. I was especially drawn to the STOCKHOLM collection because of its timeless quality and honest use of materials. Every piece feels elegant yet approachable, which is something I truly connect with in design. That’s where IKEA and I come together in the belief that a home isn’t just styled, it’s lived in.”_
At the centre of the living room is the STOCKHOLM sofa in a warm amber-gold tone, designed to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Layered rugs, natural wood coffee tables, soft lighting, and textured fabrics bring warmth and depth to the space, while a very modern shelving unit styled with books and personal objects gives the room a lived-in character. Green accent chairs and neutral curtains complete the setting with a calm and balanced aesthetic.
The dining area continues the same sense of comfort and functionality. An oval birch dining table paired with dark bentwood chairs creates a space designed for shared meals and everyday moments. A terracotta-toned wall, sculptural lighting, statement green cabinet, and carefully selected décor accents add personality while keeping the room practical and inviting.
The collaboration also draws from how people in Hyderabad experience their homes- as deeply social spaces shaped by hospitality, togetherness, and everyday rituals of hosting. Whether it is gathering friends over long meals, welcoming extended family, or creating flexible spaces that effortlessly shift between quiet comfort and lively occasions, homes in Hyderabad are often designed around making people feel at ease. Through Miheeka’s lens, the STOCKHOLM collection is reimagined for this way of living- layered, tactile, warm, and made for connection.
As IKEA India’s first store in the country, Hyderabad continues to hold a special place in the brand’s journey. The city’s strong appreciation for thoughtful design, combined with its culture of warmth and hospitality, made it a natural setting for this collaboration. The room set has been envisioned not as a display, but as a home in motion- a space that invites visitors to pause, engage, and imagine how thoughtful design can become part of everyday living.
Jasmeet Sood, Country Home Furnishing and Retail Design Manager, shares, “Miheeka brings a deeply intuitive understanding of what makes a home feel personal and meaningful. Her design sensibility reflects the same philosophy we believe in at IKEA- creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but truly functional and comfortable to live in. Hyderabad has always held a special place in IKEA India’s journey, and it felt like the perfect city to bring this collaboration to life. The city has such a strong culture of hosting and togetherness, where homes are designed around people coming together, and that is something this room setting beautifully reflects. We hope visitors walk into the room and see reflections of their own everyday life and aspirations.”_
The room set and featured products from the STOCKHOLM collection and across IKEA’s range will be available in-store and online through IKEA India.
