Margao,Goa: The Daivadnya Samaj Margao, in association with the Akhil Gomantakiya Daivadnya Brahmin Youth Association (AGDBYA), successfully organized their 16th annual Blood Donation and Free Medical Check-up Camp. The event took place on December 19, 2025.
The camp began with a warm welcome by the leaders of both organizations, Mr. Ramakant Raikar (President, Daivadnya Samaj Margao) and Mrs. Seema Rohit Vernekar (President, AGDBYA), who greeted the dignitaries and participants.
Renowned medical professionals attended the function as guests of honor. The Chief Guest was Dr. Sudhir Shet, Director of Horizon and IJNHS Sunshine Hospitals, accompanied by Dr. Ravin Rego, the Head of Hospicio Blood Bank.
The drive saw an encouraging response from the community, with more than 50 donors

stepping forward to donate blood. In addition to the blood donation, a large number of local residents took advantage of the free medical check-up facilities provided at the camp.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ravin Rego praised both organizations for their consistency.
He noted that maintaining such a drive for 15 years is a significant achievement and a great service to society. Dr. Sudhir Shet used the platform to highlight an important issue, stressing the urgent need for everyone to have health insurance in today’s times.
The event was compared by Mr. Pawan Rangnekar. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Kishor Rivonkar, who expressed gratitude to the donors, guests, medical staff, and volunteers for making the event a success.
