Based on True Events, the Teaser of the Movie “Ek Hot Maalin” Launched on Social Media
“Ek Hot Maalin” in Theaters Across Maharashtra From July 24th
Maalin is a village located in the Ambegaon taluka of Pune district. Praying to the rain god Varun Raja for rainfall, the residents of Maalin village fell into a deep sleep that night. However, due to the torrential rainfall that occurred the same night, the entire village was washed away. A horrifying situation arose, one that defies imagination. Based on this very true event, the film “Ek Hot Maalin” is set to release across Maharashtra on July 24th, and its teaser was recently launched on social media.
The film has been produced by Santosh Jagannath Mhatre under the Dream Dot Creation Production banner, with Rupesh Rane, Arun Konje, Dattatray Gaikar, and Raju Rane serving as co-producers. The presentation of the film is handled by Nandu Meher, Rupesh Rane, Arun Konje, Akshay Mhatre, and Raju Rane from Ran Studios Production. The concept, story, and screenplay of the film are by Raju Rane, while Dattatray Gaikar and Raju Rane have handled the writing, dialogues, and direction.
The film features prominent roles played by excellent actors such as Prashant Mohite, Ashwini Kasar, Abhijit Shwetchandra, Siddhi Patne, Anil Nagarkar, Prashant Tapasvi, Ramchandra Dhumal, Akshay Mhatre, Deepjyoti Naik, and Anuj Thackeray. Raja Phadtare is the cinematographer, Yuvraj Gongle has written the lyrics and directed the music, and the songs have been sung by Ajay Gogavale, Javed Ali, Anandi Joshi, and Haridas Shinde. Nitesh Nandgaonkar is the art director, Rahman Abdullah handled the VFX, and Mahesh Bharambe serves as the executive producer.
The story of the film is entirely based on true events. The film’s director, Raju Rane, interacted directly with the villagers of Maalin to gather accurate information and made every effort to present a precise narrative. The film was shot in Badlapur, and the set of Maalin village erected by art director Nitesh Nandgaonkar is highly noteworthy. A powerful cast, excellent VFX, and music are the key strengths of this film, giving viewers goosebumps while watching the teaser. One cannot even imagine the terrible plight that befell those people due to this sudden, horrifying situation, which washed away the life dreams of many within just a matter of moments.
