Pankaj Tripathi recently experienced a heartfelt full-circle moment during a promotional event for his much-awaited project, Mirzapur: The Movie, in Patna. Standing before a cheering crowd in his home state, the actor took a trip down memory lane, reflecting on where his journey as an artist truly began. Before becoming one of Indian cinema’s most respected and celebrated actors, Pankaj Tripathi was a passionate young theater artist struggling to make his mark. Reminiscing about his early days, he shared how he used to ride his bicycle every single day from Kankarbagh to Khagaul just to attend play rehearsals.
Recalling those foundational years with nostalgia, Pankaj Tripathi said, “It was right here that I performed my very first play at N.C. Ghosh Institute in Khagaul. For about a month and a half, I used to cycle all the way from Kankarbagh to come here for the performances. So, when I arrived at the station 30 years later and saw the NC Ghosh building, memories from those days came flooding back.”
Returning to Danapur station three decades later, this time as a celebrated star surrounded by fans, brought back a wave of memories for the actor. Pankaj also expressed his love for the region, adding how proud he feels to see the warmth, love, and growth of Bihar over the years. For Pankaj Tripathi, coming back to Bihar isn’t just about promoting a new project, it’s a grounded reminder of his roots, his struggles, and the passionate artist who once pedaled across town just to step onto a stage.
